It’s been a while between drinks for the Teel Studios and Attaquer partnership, so when the Sydney kit brand approached us to create a suite of online and social media video and still assets for the launch of their new ‘Intra’ sub-brand, we were thirsty for it.

After going over some references, including the beautiful “I Think I Saw You On My Run Today” from Satisfy running, we landed on a concept that saw a collection of bike riders, all different styles and backgrounds being shot side on and match cut with each other. The idea being, to show how the Intra brand is made for every rider and any occasion.

There were a bunch of things for us to be excited about during the filming of this project. However, one thing we were super keen for was to try out the Tilta Hydra Alien system. This bit of gear allowed us to mount a camera on a gimbal to the front of the van for extended, high speed, tracking shots of our talent. We have used various car mount systems in the past, but (to get nerdy for a minute), this one includes a suspension arm with dampening, which when pared with our gimbal allowed for the long smooth shots you see in the video. Not only did it give us steady shots but, we were also able to remotely control the motion of the gimbal and the camera from inside the van. We were surprised to learn that we could dust off a PlayStation 4 controller as our gimbal remote. All those years of playing Gran Turismo just became worth it. (Told you it was going to get nerdy)

Let us know what you think of the project over on Instagram or, on the Attaquer YouTube. We will be posting some more BTS, frames and stills in the coming weeks. Without further ado here’s the finished product.
